How I handle your details
Most privacy pages are written by lawyers, for lawyers. This one is written the way I'd explain it at your kitchen table.
What I keep
When you ring or book a visit, I keep the things needed to do the job and run a business properly:
- Your name, phone number and address
- What needed fixing, and what I did
- Invoices and payment records
What I never collect
- Your passwords. You type them yourself, I look away, and nothing is written down or taken away - that's the promise on the front page, and it applies here too.
- Anything about your banking. I never go near it.
- Marketing lists. I don't send newsletters, I don't do mailshots, and I never sell or share your details with anyone for marketing.
How long I keep it
Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as HMRC requires business records to be held. Everything else is kept only while it's useful for looking after you as a customer, then deleted.
Who sees it
Me. Your details aren't passed to anyone else, unless the law requires it.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or tracking scripts. The typefaces load from Google Fonts, so Google's servers see the same basic request any website visit creates - nothing more. If you ring or email from this page, that goes straight to me and nowhere else.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted - just ring or email, no forms. If you're ever unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Who I am
